Why business people speak like idiots is co-written by Brian Fugere, Chelsea Hardaway, and Jon Warshawsky.

Brian Fugere is a recovering jargonaholic. After authoring some of the worst jargon the consulting world has ever seen, he formally admitted his problem and entered a twelve step program. He is currently in rehab and has been clean for the last two years. Brian lives in Danville, California with his wife Gail and their four children.

Chelsea Hardaway is an authenticity nut. She can detect pretense and spin from a country mile, and has spent her career helping companies trade in the usual corporate gibberish for more honest, human communications. She is the president of Hardaway Productions, a brand and communications consultancy that helps clients cut through the clutter. Chelsea lives in Montara, California.

Former eighth grade spelling champion Jon Warshawsky led the development of Bullfighter, the software that quantified idiocy in the world of business writing. He lives in San Diego.

Iceman, whose circle of female acquaintances pay handsomely for his company, is a noted authority on bull, having spent considerable time observing it closely. Refusing to be branded as a corporate clone, Iceman was instead branded as a Hathaway Polled Hereford and relocated to Lincoln, California. He is a familiar presence at major corporate events such as rodeos and livestock shows, but usually works remotely, especially during annual report season when his intensive work and trailer maintenance schedules preclude travel.
